2024

Hi friends!

It's hard to believe it has been almost five years since we originally released our first prayer journals.  It's also hard to see that my last post to this blog was in 2019.  So sorry! We are currently in a momentous time in our lives as our kids are now approaching the adolescent years.  We are doing our best to be present with where God has us (currently in Birmingham, Alabama).

Thankfully, we are still seeing God use our prayer journals to this day. At this point, we have distributed over 1,000 journals to people in 15 states!  We recently had to ask our publisher to produce 500 more so that we can continue sharing with others the life changing idea of keeping a record of your prayers.

I want to share one sweet story from our friend, Matthew.  We know Matthew because he was in my first ever 3rd grade class as a teacher in Atlanta after I graduated college. He was a special kid to me - He loved God and was an Auburn fan.  His family became dear friends over the years and we continued to keep in touch when my family moved to Florida.  I loved traveling back to Atlanta to see Matthew, along with the rest of my first 3rd grade class, graduate from High School back in 2015 (picture below). Matthew went on to Auburn University where he served as a Young Life Leader. After college he went on staff with Young Life and has been serving ever since in Georgia.

We mailed a prayer journal to Matthew back in September of 2019 when we first published them. He was new on staff with Young Life and we wanted to share our vision with him. He reached out to us this past summer to order a bulk of prayer journals as he was starting a new Young Life area in Georgia.  He shared with us his vision for the prayer journals and we asked if we could share how God is using them in his life and ministry.  Below is what Matthew had to share:

"Faithful prayer is not only the foundation of ministry, but of the Christian life. When I first started ministry, my boss told me, 'ministry without prayer is the highest form of arrogance.' At the time I heard this, I had no structures or rhythms for my prayer life. A few days later I was sent this prayer journal by the Boneys, and it not only changed the way that I prayed, but it changed the way I viewed ministry. By looking back on God's faithfulness over months and years of praying, we are able to see that He is in control and that He is indeed faithful. I use this book not only for myself, but now require it for my leaders and committee In Young Life. I'm so grateful for this thoughtful tool and am so excited to continue to see the Lord's faithfulness through it." Matthew S., September 2023

So much wisdom.  We are thankful for you and your ministry, Matthew! AND so excited for your newlywed season ahead! :) We will continue to pray for you, Nat and your ministry.

I am looking forward to a new year, but I am also looking forward to looking back throughout the prior year(s) and recording all of the prayers that have been answered or will be answered AND continuing to pray for the ones that haven't been answered yet.

We would love to pray for you- email us at the link below,
